This online group course offers an engaging, conversation-based approach to learning Swedish, taught by a linguist. Whether you’re based in Sweden or abroad, you’ll meet weekly with a small group to build real-world language skills through structured texts, listening practice, and guided speaking.
Grounded in a communicative and text-based approach, each session is built around a short, meaningful text accompanied by audio—often drawn from real-life scenarios, contemporary media, and Swedish culture. These texts introduce essential vocabulary and natural sentence structures in context, helping you internalize the language in a way that is both intuitive and effective.
Rather than memorizing word lists or analyzing grammar rules, you’ll learn by doing: speaking, listening, and responding. Through structured conversation practice, targeted questions, and interactive group work, you'll be encouraged to use Swedish actively and purposefully in every class. Grammar and pronunciation are addressed organically as they emerge in communication, keeping the focus on meaningful use and fluency.

This course is suited for speakers in an upper intermediate level for learners who have an ambition to work in Swedish - either as entrepeneurs, in the banking or consulting sector. The vocabulary will have an emphasis on words for marketing, micro- and macro economics, budgeting, networking role play, presenting oneself to clients or colleagues in the field.
Each session centers around a a text, and a personalized flashcard deck, allowing you to absorb vocabulary and sentence structures naturally—without relying on translation. Instead, you’ll be encouraged to actively use the language from the very first lesson through guided conversations, structured questions, and contextual learning with the other peers in the class.
